Important Update: JULY 30, 2010

As many of you know, the Variance "iSpy an iPad" Giveaway will come to a close this weekend when we announce a winner!

Twitter has informed us that the entire site will be down for maintenance late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Because of the "time zone" issue, we would like to clarify things BEFORE there is any confusion.

Our contest ends Saturday, July 31, at 11:59pm (Central Standard Time). Although Twitter is warning that its site will be shut down from 11pm to 4am, they are citing Pacific Time, which is one full hour after the contest concludes (1:00am CST) and will therefore not affect your entry for the iPad Giveaway. Keep an eye on our Twitter account (@VARIANCEmag) for any updates.

As announced earlier today, we will be hosting a LIVE Tweet Chat on Sunday night at 8:00pm (CST). You all have really made these Chats into quite an event and we've got a lot to talk about! In the music industry alone, this has been a busy week--from copyright laws to American Idol drama (tons of it, which is expected to continue into next week). We'll be talking predictions, opinions, and taking your content suggestions for our next issue!

Along with lots of great conversation, we'll be announcing the iPad winner during the live Chat. So, we'll expect to see you there!
